This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use this website (the "Site"), operated by The Forge, a sole proprietorship run by Sikandar Javid, and how it is used. I aim to collect as little as possible.

1. Who is responsible

Information you provide

• Email contact: if you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
• Booking a call:if you schedule a call, you provide details (such as your name, email, and any notes) directly to Cal.com, which runs the booking widget. That information is processed under Cal.com's privacy policy and shared with me to hold the call.

Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel processes basic server logs (such as IP address, browser/user-agent, and request timestamps) for security, performance, and to operate the Site.

3. Cookies and analytics

The Site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not store data in your browser for its own marketing purposes. If privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (for example, Vercel Analytics or Google Analytics) are enabled to understand general traffic, they may use cookies or similar technologies and collect anonymized usage data. Where required by law, analytics will only run with your consent, and you can decline without losing access to the Site. The embedded Cal.com scheduler may set cookies necessary for its booking function.

4. How information is used

• to respond to your enquiries and communicate with you;
• to schedule and hold calls you request;
• to operate, secure, and improve the Site; and
• to comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, processing relies on: your consent (e.g. optional analytics); my legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping the Site secure; and taking steps at your request before any potential engagement.

6. Service providers

The Site uses a small number of trusted third parties:

• Cal.com — scheduling (privacy policy);
• Vercel — hosting and server logs (privacy policy);
• Microsoft (Outlook) — email (privacy statement).

These providers process data on their own infrastructure under their respective policies. I do not sell your personal information.

7. Data retention

I keep emails and booking details only as long as needed to respond to you, hold our call, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, then delete them. Provider logs are retained according to each provider's schedule.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email sikandar.javid@outlook.com.

9. International transfers

The service providers above may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Children

The Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
