Custom private lending softwareLoan software built around
how your capital actually works.
Custom origination, servicing and investor software for private lenders whose loans are funded by several investors — with a payment waterfall, a penny-exact ledger and an investor portal. One system from application to payoff.
Built for lenders who have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools.
When lenders call me, it’s usually one of these.
What a custom lending platform includes
Scoped to your loan products — you get the modules you need, not a bloated suite.
Borrower application & intake
Guided application, document upload and a drag-and-drop deal pipeline.
Underwriting & approvals
LTV/ARV, DSCR and rate calculations with maker/checker sign-off.
Investor participations
Fund each loan in slices from several investors at their own rates.
Payment waterfall
Every payment split in a fixed, auditable order: interest to investors first, then the lender’s spread, fees and principal.
Servicing & payoffs
Daily interest accrual, late fees, defaults, extensions and payoff quotes.
Append-only ledger
Exact decimals, idempotent postings, nothing edited or deleted.
Investor portal & statements
Balances, distributions and statements investors can see themselves.
Reporting & exports
Portfolio, delinquency and investor reports; exports for your accountant.
Off-the-shelf lending software vs. a custom build
Off-the-shelf tools are the right choice for many lenders. Custom makes sense when your structure is the product.
| Factor | Off-the-shelf platform | Custom build with The Forge |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Standard loan products, fast setup | Unusual capital structures and workflows |
| Multi-investor loans at different rates | Often limited or manual | Modeled exactly, per loan |
| Payment waterfall | Fixed rules | Your rules, versioned and auditable |
| Cost over time | Per-seat / per-loan fees, rising with volume | Fixed build price; you own the code |
| Changes | Wait for the vendor roadmap | Built when you need them |
| Your data | In the vendor’s system | In accounts you own |
One lending platform built to replace two disconnected tools — from application to payoff.
Titan Funding ran origination and servicing in separate off-the-shelf tools, re-keying data and reconciling investor money by hand. I built one custom platform whose books reconcile to the penny.

Private Lending Software: common questions
It depends on the modules. A focused first version — for example servicing plus investor participations — is scoped and priced in a Build Plan (from $500, credited in full). You get a fixed quote before any build work starts.
If your loans fit a standard product, often yes — and I’ll tell you so on the call. Custom makes sense when multiple investors, custom waterfalls or unusual workflows are forcing you into spreadsheets.
Yes. Existing loans, investors and balances are imported and reconciled against your current records before switching over.
Exact decimals (never floating point), an append-only ledger, idempotent payment posting and maker/checker approvals — so every balance reconciles to the penny and every change is traceable.
Licensing and legal compliance stay with you and your counsel. The software is built to support them: audit trails, access controls, approvals and the reports you need.
You do. Code, hosting, domains and data live in accounts you own — no lock-in.
